CInSt Researcher Victor Rudakov Visits Center for Research in Higher Education Policies in Portugal
For the last month, Victor Rudakov, Research fellow of Centre for Institutional Studies and Laboratory for Labour Market Studies, worked as a visiting researcher in the Center for Research in Higher Education Policies, Porto, Portugal.
The work was carried out within the framework of his postdoctoral project "The impact of higher education expansion on the salaries of university graduates in Russia and Portugal: overeducation and job-education mismatches."
During his stay, Victor finished his work on the joint paper with Hugo Figueiredo, Pedro Teixeira, and Sergey Roshchin "The Impact of Horizontal Job-Education Mismatches on the Earnings of Recent University Graduates." Full text has been submitted to IZA Discussion Paper Series and the 4th IZA Workshop in Economics of Education. Results of the research were presented at CIPES general meeting research seminar and will be submitted to a leading international journal in economics of education. Victor also worked on another paper devoted to the effect of job-education mismatch in Portugal and participated in the external evaluation of CIPES as an international postdoc.
